The Taj Mahal

Writer's picture: GinaGina

Today we took a trip to see the Taj Mahal. If you didn’t already know, it is that beautiful white marble mausoleum that is one of the 7 modern wonders of the world.

It is such an amazing building to be able to see in person..

It took 22 years and 20,000 workers to construct. If you look closely and see the amount of detail and perfect symmetry, you can understand why.

You have to wear shoe covers, I think they went well with my outfit.

The floors are kept clean with all of the people shuffling around the marble floors with shoe covers on. Not only because you cover your shoe, but because the shoe covers pick up all of the dirt and sand that is on the floor... smart!

Such an amazing place to visit, and an easy trip from New Delhi. If you are every nearby I highly recommend taking at least half of a day to go.
